Daft Punk’s influential “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” has now sold over 1 million downloads in the United States across all versions. Shifting another 300 copies this frame (the week ending July 12), the track’s lifetime sales now sit at 1.01 million.
First released in 2001 on the album ‘Discovery’, “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” failed to match the success of its predecessor on the Hot 100 (it did reach #3 on Dance Club Songs). It would, however, go on to be sampled on Kanye West’s “Stronger” (Hot 100: #1) and re-released in a Grammy award winning live version (both in 2007).
Meanwhile, fellow ‘Discovery’ single “One More Time” has notched up digital sales of 1.31 million in the United States (as of July 12) and Kanye West’s “Stronger” has topped 5.75 million in downloads (as of last September).
