Already a huge artist on streaming platforms, Post Malone continues to build up his career pure album sales count. As of the week ending July 19, his albums ‘Stoney’ and ‘beerbongs & bentleys’ have now sold a combined 500,000 copies in the United States alone.
The majority of those sales come courtesy of ‘beerbongs’, which debuted with 153,000 pure copies and smashed streaming records upon its April release. Aided by a ticket bundle and Malone’s growing star power, that first week sum was greater than the cumulative pure sales total for ‘Stoney’ (2016) across its entire first year. Now in its twelfth week of release, ‘beerbongs & bentleys’ has shifted 276,000 pure and nearly 1.6 million SPS units since its Billboard 200 debut. It is already 2x Platinum (RIAA) and headed to 3x on the strength of SPS stemming from pre-release singles.
‘Stoney’ continues to hold up well as its pure count this year hits approximately 70,000. The 2016 release has sold 227,000 pure to date and is certified 3x Platinum for combined sales and album-equivalent units topping three million units.
