Included in Nielsen and Billboard’s mid-year report (recapping sales from late December 2017 to late June 2018) was a list of the ten best selling tracks of the year. Camila Cabello was the only solo artist to appear on the list twice, with both “Havana” and “Never Be the Same” notching up over 500,000 digital downloads each in the United States in the first half of the year. As digital sales continue to decline, she’s the only female artist as well as the only solo artist with multiple tracks hitting this milestone.
In the weeks following, release to date sales for “Havana” have climbed to 1.429m while sales for “Never Be the Same” have climbed as high as 566,000 (as of the week ending July 5, used to compile the chart dated July 14).
