Less than five months after its release, Eminem’s ‘Kamikaze’ has topped 500,000 in traditional sales in the United States. It becomes just the second 2018 studio album to achieve this mark and the first by a solo artist.

Released less than a year after ‘Revival’, ‘Kamikaze’ squashed any doubt of Eminem’s commercial staying power: it delivered a 62% jump in first week sales compared to its immediate predecessor and subsequently finished 2018 as the year’s top selling hip-hop album (traditional sales in the United Sates). It later earned a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Meanwhile, release to date traditional sales for ‘Revival’ stand at 400,000.
