After landing a No. 26 debut on last week’s Hot 100 based on a single day of tracking, J. Cole’s “MIDDLE CHILD” storms into the chart’s top 5.
Rising twenty-two spots to No. 4, the track becomes J. Cole’s highest peaking entry and first ever top 5. He previously topped out at No. 6 with “ATM”, further landing “Deja Vu” (No. 7), “Kevin’s Heart” (No. 8) and “KOD” (No. 10) in the region. “MIDDLE CHILD” is also J. Cole’s first single to rise into the top 10 rather than debut there.
Despite being fueled by streaming (No. 2 with 54.4 million listens), “CHILD” also hits the top 5 in sales (No. 5 with 24,000) and registered 8.4 million in radio airplay audience for the week.
Absolutely because it’s DOPE. Well deserved.!
